From bare foundation to finished curb appeal
One of our favorite recent projects was a white farmhouse outside Harrisburg. The front porch had nothing but grass against the foundation. We cut new beds, installed weed barrier and river rock, and planted upright junipers with a Japanese maple as the focal point. Same house, completely different first impression. Plants that actually survive here
We're in USDA zone 7b/8a with heavy red-clay soil and hot, humid summers. We pick plants that handle that: hollies, junipers, loropetalum, boxwood, crape myrtle, Japanese maple, liriope, knockout roses and native perennials. We amend the soil at planting so roots take off, and we'll show you a simple watering schedule for the first season.
